Portfolio Workshop Hosted by ROYA and River Valley Irregulars
JAKARTA, February 14, 2026 – Indonesia Youth Foundation (IYF) conducted the ROYA Post-Event Workshop in collaboration with River Valley Irregulars on February 14, 2026, via Zoom. The session brought together participants in a focused and interactive discussion on how to build a portfolio that is both professional and personal in character.
Building a Portfolio with Clarity and Intention
The workshop was led by Jose Syguia and Renaldo Susilo, who emphasized that a portfolio should communicate more than achievements. It should reflect direction and identity.
“A CV and resume is okay, but if you want to stand out you need a portfolio. Portfolio is a combination of your goals and who you are in person,” Jose shared during the session.
Participants were encouraged to think critically about how they present their work. For instance, what story it tells and whether it clearly represents their aspirations and strengths.

Writing a Portfolio Introduction that Explains the Process
Following a self-reflection exercise under the “Understanding Yourself” segment, the session moved into a practical discussion on crafting a strong portfolio introduction. Participants were guided to clearly explain their process: what they were hoping to achieve through a project, how they applied their technical skills and knowledge, and what they ultimately learned from the experience.
This approach helped participants move beyond simply showcasing results, and instead articulate the thinking and growth behind their work.
Through initiatives such as ROYA, IYF continues to provide relevant learning spaces that support young people in preparing for their professional paths. For further updates on programs, opinion pieces, and other initiatives, visit the official IYF website and follow IYF Update.
