IYSF 2025 Empowers Youth to Shape a Greener Indonesia

(JAKARTA, 18/10/2025) The Indonesia Youth Sustainability Forum (IYSF) 2025 was successfully held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Sanctuary Auditorium, Menara Kuningan, South Jakarta. IYSF was organized by the Bakrie Center Foundation (BCF) and Liberty Society (LS), with support from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and KADIN. The forum actively empowered young leaders to develop innovative and inclusive sustainability solutions.

The event featured panel discussions, interactive installations, and exhibitions highlighting impactful environmental initiatives. To youth, it provided a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration among communities and organizations.

Inside Indonesia Youth Sustainability Forum 2025

Sayid Muhammad Heykal (Alumni Relations), a delegate from the Indonesia Youth Foundation, shared, “This Sustainability Forum gave me new insights into environmental issues in Indonesia. The event brought together participants from various backgrounds, allowing ideas and collaborations to emerge naturally.”

Meanwhile, Ananda Manurung (Business Development) emphasized the forum’s collaborative spirit, stating, “The forum was not just a discussion, but a place where young people exchanged ideas and built networks committed to the future of our planet. The ‘Human Capital, Technology & Innovation’ session opened my eyes to how technology can support sustainability without harming the environment.”

Energy Transition, Green Growth, Culture and Innovation, and Sustainable Impact were the four main pillars of the forum. Delegates explored real-world environmental initiatives and gained practical ideas and inspiration to implement sustainability practices in their own communities and organizations.

Firstly, the event opened with a speech by an IYSF Advocate, highlighting the urgency of achieving net zero emissions and setting the tone for a day of meaningful discussions. The keynote session brought together speakers from the government, social impact sector, and youth-led initiatives. This encouraged participants to collaborate, think creatively, and take bold steps toward a sustainable future for Indonesia.

Further, panel discussions covered topics such as clean technology, cross-sector collaboration, and strategies for integrating sustainable practices into everyday work. Experts and climate advocates shared insights on local and global challenges. The discussion demonstrates the vital role young people play in driving meaningful change.

Taking Steps Forward

By the conclusion of the forum, delegates expressed renewed motivation to turn ideas into action. They recognized that small individual steps, combined with collective effort, can make a real difference. Especially for youth in building a greener, fairer, and more sustainable Indonesia. IYSF 2025 proved that when young leaders come together, ideas can translate into impactful action.
