Interfaith Forum Sparks Powerful And Inspiring Leadership For Change
(JAKARTA, December 05, 2025) An online interfaith discussion titled Interfaith Forum Ethical Leadership was recently held, bringing together participants from different countries and religious backgrounds. The forum aimed to promote interfaith tolerance and highlight the importance of ethical leadership in diverse societies. The event provided an interactive space for participants to exchange perspectives. Participants learned to apply religiously rooted ethical values directly to leadership practices.
Interfaith Forum Promoting Ethical Leadership and Tolerance

The forum addressed key issues surrounding tolerance and ethical responsibility, particularly in the context of leadership. Discussions focused on how leaders can uphold moral principles while leading communities with different beliefs. Rather than emphasizing religious differences, the sessions underlined shared values such as integrity, accountability, and respect as the foundation of ethical leadership. Participants actively took part in discussions and reflections throughout the program.
Rizky Ramadhan, Chief Administrative Officer of the Indonesia Youth Foundation, said the forum delivered a clear and relevant message. “Leadership should not be judged by religious background, but by how ethical values are practiced in real actions,” Rizky stated. He added that all religions teach moral goodness, and leadership should be based on integrity instead of religious preference.
Speakers at the forum came from various countries and faith traditions, including a representative from Makassar, Indonesia, who presented perspectives from Islam, a speaker from the Philippines representing Christianity, and another speaker who discussed ethical leadership from a Hindu point of view. Despite their different backgrounds, the speakers shared similar views on the role of ethics in leadership and the need for mutual respect in multicultural societies.
Another notable aspect of the forum was the use of live interpretation in Indonesian and English. This allowed international speakers and participants to communicate more effectively during the sessions. According to Rizky, the interpretation system made the discussions easier to follow and helped participants focus on the substance of the conversation, despite slight delay.
Overall, the forum left a positive impression on participants. Rizky noted that the event broadened his understanding of religions he was less familiar with, particularly Hinduism, while reinforcing the importance of tolerance in leadership. He emphasized that leaders must be assessed by their ethical conduct and moral responsibility, not by religious identity, particularly in diverse settings. The forum concluded with a shared commitment to promoting ethical leadership and interfaith understanding across communities.
